Rizful.com Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rizful.com have an app on the App Store or Google Play?

No, it does not. We have some good excuses, too:
-
You can easily install Rizful on your phone by adding it to your home screen. It works just like an app, but you don't have to download anything or update it. It's always the latest version.
-
Lightning is a "online-only" payment technology. You cannot send Lightning payments if your phone is offline. Of course, your Rizful.com vaults are always running, so they can receive payments even if your phone is off. But sending payments requires an internet connection, so a mobile app would be of limited use.
-
The Lightning Network is private and secure by default. Mobile apps have to use Google or Apple's infrastructure in order to communicate with users' devices. This means that Google or Apple could theoretically see your payment activity.
-
Google and Apple routinely reject Bitcoin and Lightning apps from their stores.
Why, when I use Rizful.com from my home screen, do I need to click the "Use Rizful Now" button?

This is an easy one: It's Apple's fault.
Apple has done EVERYTHING they POSSIBLY can to force users and developers to use their App Store, instead of web apps like Rizful.com.
One of the (many) ways they do this is by making it impossible for web apps to "automatically reload" when the user opens them from the home screen.
This is probably fine for things like games, that can run mostly offline, but for Rizful.com, it's terrible. Whenever you open Rizful, we really need to show you the MOST RECENT, up-to-date information about your vaults and transactions.
The only way we can be SURE to do this is by asking you to click this annoying button. Sorry.
