Rizful: First Steps

Rizful is an easy way to get started with Lightning payments and Nostr zaps.

What is Nostr?

Nostr is an uncensorable protocol for social networks where you can make money in "zaps" by posting your content. Use a Rizful address to receive these zaps by hooking it up to an app like Jumble.social, YakiHonne, Damus, Primal, or Amethyst.

1. Create an account

Sign up at rizful.com.

2. Choose your Lightning Address

Your Lightning Address is how others send you sats. Pick something short, memorable, and easy to share.

Click the 'edit' icon next to your Lightning Address

3. Connect a Nostr client

Recommended apps:

• Web browsers: Try Jumble.social. Follow this tutorial to connect it to Rizful.
• iOS and Android: Try YakiHonne (iOS | Android). Follow this tutorial to connect it to Rizful.

4. Request a test zap

To get a small test payment from Rizful:

1. Create a new Nostr post.
2. In the post include:
   • your ___@rizful.com Lightning Address
   • the text @Rizful.com

That tells Rizful to send a small test zap. Most users receive it within a few hours.

5. More things you can do with Rizful

• Accept Bitcoin on your own website or app with OpenReceive — a free, open-source library that needs nothing from you except a receive-only NWC code. Your AI coding agent can wire it up from the "Copy agent directions" button on openreceive.org.
• Run a store with BTCPay Server.
• Use Rizful as the wallet behind other apps via NWC: Alby Go, Stacker News.
