TL;DR

Rizful requires an email for account recovery ... but we don't care which email you use. Use any anonymous email service below to keep your identity private.

How to Make an Anonymous Lightning & NWC Wallet​

Start with ANY privacy-preserving email service or an email aliasing/masking service. These services let you create email addresses that forward to your real inbox, without revealing your actual email address to Rizful.

  • AnonAddy — Anonymous email forwarding. Free tier available.
  • Firefox Relay — Mozilla's email masking service. Free tier with 5 masks.
  • DuckDuckGo Email Protection — Free @duck.com email addresses that remove trackers.
  • Apple Hide My Email (iOS/macOS) — Built into iCloud+. Creates unique, random email addresses that forward to your real inbox.
  • 1Password — Includes masked email feature with Fastmail integration.
  • Fastmail Masked Email — Create unlimited masked addresses.

How to Set It Up​

  1. Choose a service from the list above
  2. Create an alias or masked email specifically for Rizful
  3. Sign up for Rizful using that alias
  4. Save the alias in your password manager so you remember which one you used

Your recovery emails from Rizful will forward to your real inbox, but Rizful will never know your actual email address.
