Satoshi to Fiat Converter
We built the Satoshi Converter because most people think in their local currency, not in Bitcoin. When someone says "that costs 50,000 sats," you should be able to instantly know what that means in dollars, euros, yen, or naira.
What Is a Satoshi?
A satoshi (sat) is the smallest unit of Bitcoin. One Bitcoin equals exactly 100,000,000 satoshis. The name comes from Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
As Bitcoin's price has grown, people increasingly transact in satoshis rather than whole bitcoins. The Lightning Network — Bitcoin's instant payment layer — operates natively in satoshis (technically millisatoshis), making sats the everyday unit for Lightning payments.
How It Works
Real-Time Two-Way Conversion
Type a number of satoshis and instantly see the equivalent in your local currency. Or type a fiat amount and see how many sats it's worth. The conversion happens in both directions as you type — no button to press, no page to reload.
The math is straightforward:
satoshis ÷ 100,000,000 = BTC
BTC × exchange rate = fiat value
We also show the precise BTC amount for every conversion, so you can see exactly how much of a bitcoin you're working with.
Live Exchange Rates
Prices are pulled from live market data. The current exchange rate is displayed as a badge on every converter page (e.g., "1 BTC = 104,250 USD") so you always know the rate being used.
Shareable Conversion Links
Every conversion generates a URL you can share:
https://rizful.com/satoshis-to-usd-converter?satoshis=100000
https://rizful.com/satoshis-to-eur-converter?eur=50.25
The recipient sees the same conversion pre-filled. Useful for quoting prices, settling bets, or explaining to someone exactly how many sats their coffee costs.
Multi-Language Support
The converter is translated into 20+ languages. For non-English currencies, the page automatically loads in the native language — Japanese for JPY, Portuguese for BRL, Turkish for TRY, and so on. A toggle lets you switch between English and the native language.
Supported languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, German, French, Thai, Polish, Ukrainian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Bengali, Malay, and Georgian.

Why Satoshis Matter
Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins — and that's it, forever. As adoption grows and the price rises, people naturally shift to smaller units. A cup of coffee might cost 5,000 sats. A Lightning-powered API call might cost 10 sats. Thinking in satoshis makes Bitcoin practical for everyday amounts.
The Lightning Network makes satoshi-denominated payments instant and nearly free. With Rizful, you can get a Lightning Address and start sending and receiving sats in seconds.
